ATM / Debit Cards
A Peoples State Bank debit card provides you with a convenient solution to
buy the products and services you need. No need to pack around those
bulky checkbooks, multiple forms of identification, or large amounts of
cash. Purchases made with your Peoples State Bank debit card will be
automatically deducted from your bank account. Since the Peoples State
Bank debit card bears the Visa® logo, you can use it wherever Visa® debit is
accepted.
You can us the Peoples State Bank debit card to pay for gas, groceries,
meals, shopping, entertainment, and more. You can even use your debit
card to order merchandise or services online, by mail, or by phone.
You can use it to pay bills that you would normally charge to a credit card.
And best of all, the Peoples State Bank debit card comes to you free, with
no annual fee.
Your Peoples State Bank debit card can also function as an ATM card.
You can use it at an ATM with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to
withdraw cash from your checking account. You can use it surcharge free at
any ATM that bears the Privileged Status Logo. You can also use it at select merchants to
get cash back in addition to your purchases.
All transactions done with your Peoples State Bank debit card will
automatically be listed on your monthly bank statement with the date,
amount, and location of each transaction you have made.
Here are some important Safety Tips to remember when using your Debit card:
- Never insert your card or enter your PIN in any terminal that does not look genuine, has been modified, has a suspicious device attached, or is operating in a suspicious manner.
- At a drive up facility, keep your doors locked and all passenger windows closed.
- Remove your cash, receipt and card after every transaction. If you make a withdrawal, pocket cash immediately.
- Block others’ view. Always stand between the terminal and any person who is waiting, or cup your hand over the keypad as you enter your PIN.
- Memorize your PIN. Don’t tell anyone your PIN or account number and never loan anyone your card. Never write your PIN on your card or anything you carry with or near your card.
- Report lost or stolen cards immediately. If your card is lost or stolen, please call 1-800-383-8000.
- Never give your PIN over the phone.
- Know who you are talking to. Never give unsolicited callers personal information and account numbers over the phone.
- Don’t fall prey to
"Phishing." Never respond to an e-mail requesting your to provide
card, PIN, or personal information via the internet.
